Webster's Pages... All About Me

We are doing something a little new on the Design Team at ScrapbooksPlus this year. In the past we have always chosen one line to feature every month. This year we are still featuring one line on The Wall but we are also adding several fun layouts throughout the store.

Here is one "extra" layout I designed using Webster's Pages
All About Me collection. I love Webster's Pages. I've gone through phases with other manufacturers where I just can't get enough but Webster's Pages has remained a fav of mine for some time now.

I also used some Tim Holtz dies to cut these journaling boxes. I inked the edge of the large journaling box with Distress Ink Broken China.

Here is the list of what you'll need to make the layout and the instructions including measurements. You can also get a copy of the instructions at the store on the shelf right above the layout. It includes a color photo of the layout.

Bliss

Here is a layout I designed for ScrapbooksPlus last May.

I used papers from Bo Bunny's Vicki B. collection. I also used several other products such as K&Company adhesive chipboard, Prima flower embellishment crystal spray and My Mind's Eye Lush rhinestones to name a few.

I added the rhinestones to the swirly floral paper. It adds a fun detail to the umbrella I made using a pattern I sketched myself.

I used different mediums to alter the chipboard from K&Company. I plucked a few little bottles from my ever growing collection of Tattered Angels glitter paints including Chandelier Glitter Glam and Wicked Glimmer Glaze.

Yes, you can paint on the K&Company chipboard. Even though the surface on this chipboard is almost glossy and not very porous I was still able to add the glitter glam and even change the color of the little birdie with some glaze, it just took a bit longer to dry.

Not sure if you noticed the raindrop detail. This is one of my favorite things about this layout.

I used the gridded side of the Vicky B "Loverly" paper as the background. Then I used my Silhouette to cut a pattern out of vellum. The raindrops were actually the scraps cut from the paper to make the design but I used them on my layout. I adhered each with a glue dot. It was such an easy little addition and I love how it turned out.

Here is the Vicky B collection from Bo Bunny.

I hope it inspires you!

It's a New Year!

I had a wonderful Christmas with family...memories I will always treasure... and scrap!

It's a new year and I am so excited to get going on some fun new things.

First, I am excited to finally announce that I have been asked to be the new Design Team Coordinator for ScrapbooksPlus. Lisa Hausman decided to break and thought I would be a good fit for the position. I have some fun new ideas that we are starting to implement around the store. Hopefully in the months to come the already inspiring space will be that much more inspiring!

Now it's on to the next thing, January.

January is my time to regroup, reorganize and reinvent. While I don't have a New Years Resolution I do have an idea of the ways I want to grow in the year ahead.

While I hope to continue to grow in my photography skill and continue to push my creative limits I really have one big thing that I have been dying to do and I think now is the time.

I want to learn about these computer thingys that everyone keeps talking about.

OK, so I do have some computer skills. But this year I intend to "Grow My Skills" at JessicaSprague.com

I am ready to retake Up and Running and then move on to the other classes from there but first I might just have to jump in to this Digital Art Journal class... it look so inspiring!
